You’ll find that most places, whether it’s a beach club or a nightclub, ask for a reservation and usually there’s a minimum spend involved.

However, you can still enjoy much of what the island has to offer without declaring bankruptcy! Let’s dive into some absolute must-dos that will make your trip unforgettable.

We absolutely loved Negrita Bar (fabulous waterfront location and great tunes!) in Little Venice and 180º Sunset Bar (breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the sunset) – granted, the cocktails might be a bit expensive, but the experience of sipping on a drink while gazing at the stunning Aegean sunset is priceless.

We also had Scorpios on our to-do list, but let’s be real, you’d have to sell your house to do everything!

**Pro Tip:** Start the night at a local bar for a more budget-friendly buzz before heading to the clubs – or even better, have pre-drinks at your villa with your duty-free booze.

2. Mykonos Beaches

Paraga Beach is the place to be, and guess what? You’re part of that beautiful crowd, darling! For that beach club experience, book loungers or a cabana at Kalua Beach Bar.

Indulge in their Japanese fusion menu, sip on their exquisite signature cocktails, sway to the tunes of the DJ and live singer, and dance like there’s no tomorrow. Don’t forget to splurge on a lavishly priced margarita while you people-watching to your heart’s content.

**Pro Tip:** You don’t have to go overboard and “make it rain” at a beach club every single day! Platis Gialos is a lively village and resort with a chilled beach vibe, comfortable loungers and great places to dine, like Anios Mediterranean Cuisine or Yialo Yialo Restaurant. Spending a day at the beach here won’t cost you a fortune!

3. Shopping in Mykonos

Mykonos Town is a shopper’s paradise, filled with boutique stores that make you want to say, “Just take my money!” Whether you’re browsing for unique designer clothing, handmade jewellery, or chic souvenirs, it’s retail therapy at its finest. But don’t be surprised if a single sandal costs more than your rent.

Take a break from the partying and make the most of your time in Mykonos by exploring iconic sites like the Mykonos Windmills and Paraportiani Church. Get lost in the narrow labyrinthine streets of Chora (Mykonos Town) and charming Little Venice. These spots are not only great for capturing beautiful photos, but they also won’t break the bank.

To discover a different side of Mykonos, we joined a guided bike tour with Yummy Pedals. It allowed us to escape the hustle and bustle and experience the tranquil rural areas. Along the way, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic at a secluded beach and visited the Vioma Organic Vineyard and Farm.

Our splurge night was at Meraki Restaurant in Hotel Cavo Tagoo, where we dined on delicious modern Greek dishes in their incredible outdoor dining area surrounded by an infinity pool with stunning views out to sea.

**Pro Tip:** Seek out family-owned tavernas off the beaten path for authentic, delicious meals that won’t explode your budget – Kiki’s Tavern and Nikolas Tavern Mykonos are popular options.
